Female tennis players - Five sets at Grand Slams?

Marko from Croatia thinks that it isn't fair that there is no difference between women's tennis matches on regular tournaments and Grand Slams, as both have rules on only winning two sets. He thinks that girls should also play best of five sets tie at Grand Slams because there is no difference between money rewards for men and women, while men spend much more time on the court.

I agree, I would also like to see female tennis players playing best of five ties on Grand Slams, though not because of money issues but mostly because of the beauty of certain tennis hotties. On the other hand it would be also nice seeing whether girls have enough power to play for instance 4 hours long tennis match. Well, if anything it would be at least worthy of experiment. I know I would very much like to watch five set encounter between lets say Ana Ivanovic and Maria Sharapova.

How about you? Are you also in favor that girls stay much longer on the court during Grand Slams? For what reason/s? Make sure to give us your comments.

  1. Definitely. Marko has point. It would be fair that they also play five set matches. After all why make difference between men's and woman's game. I think they have enough power to play this 4 big tournaments little longer than other ones.
