Yaroslava was born on September 12, 1987 in Moscow, Russia, she's 5' 11" (180 cm), plays right-handed and two-handed backhand, and she's been on tour since 2005.Yaroslava Shvedova started playing tennis at the age of eight when her father took her to the tennis court. Her mother was a professional runner. Besides tennis she also likes football, swimming and athletics. She is powerful tennis player and prefers hard surface due to her powerful strikes. She is originally Russian bur changed her nationality in 2008.
Yaroslava Shvedova still hasn't show her full capacity though she currently belongs to the top 30 female tennis players in the world. There's this feeling that she could do much more, and she certainly has enough room to improve her game, especially in singles.
